Bali is considered to be one of the most beautiful
and diverse islands in Asia. Bali is relatively small. It stretches 140 km
from East to West and 80 km from North to South.
NORTH EAST BALI
Tulamben Famous for Liberty shipwreck.
SOUTH EAST BALI
Amed
Very beautiful surroundings, remote, some very good fish and coral variety.
Candi Dasa
No natural beach, some good dive sites off the cost, strong currents. Many tourist
resorts. Gili Tepekong is among the best dive sites.
Padang Bai
Some good dive and snorkel sites nearby.
Nusa
Penida Islands to be known for very good diving, there may be
strong currents.
Pulau
Serangan
can be difficult to reach due to shallow waters at low tide.
Sanur
Big tourist area, some diving and snorkeling sites. Many dive operators
are located there. Sanur
or Benoa Beach: These are good places to start diving.
Many
of their dive centres do offer PADI approval. However check their
insurance, and medical facilities. There are dive centres that have 5 star
PADI Approval Rating. Decompression Chambers: Sanglah Public Hospital.
NORTH WEST BALI
Menjangan Island
Compared to other placesdifficult to reach,very good fish variety, coral destroyed at some places,
slowly recovering. Very nice surroundings, worth the effort of getting there.
NORTH BALI -
LOVINA
Lovina Long standing tourist area. Several dive operators are based
there.
EAST
BALI
Gili Tepekong, Gili Biaha, Gili Mimpang: these
islands are however only for experienced divers.
